Fenghuang Dan Cong (Phoenix Single Bush) is an infamous oolong tea that originates from Fenghuang Shan (Phoenix Mountains) located in Chaozhou, Guandong Province, China. Dancong literally translated means "single bush". There are many different varieties of dancong oolong, each with its own, unique flavor profile.
Ya Shi translates to 'Duck Shit', but don’t let the name fool you — this tea is anything but unpleasant. Ya Shi is one of the most beloved and intriguing cultivars of the Dancong family.
According to local legend, the farmer who first cultivated this fragrant tea feared that others would steal his prized bushes, so he jokingly named it “Duck Shit” to deter curiosity. The name stuck — and so did its fame.
A captivating dance of orchid, honey, and ripe fruit aromas, layered over a silky, mineral-rich body. The tea opens with sweet floral top notes, deepens into creamy stone fruit and honey, and lingers with a gentle roasted warmth.
Each infusion reveals new nuances — a hallmark of fine Dancong craftsmanship.
