During my travels thru Yunnan, I befriended a botanist student who was also a tea enthusiast. During our tea sessions, he would often mention the lesser-known tea mountains that were home to many ancient trees, producing high-quality tea. The leaves used to produce this maocha were harvested from an ancient tree of unknown age, most definitely over 300 years old.
