Sit & Steep at New York Tea Society

Pull up a chair, grab a tiny cup, and spend the evening exploring great tea with fellow tea lovers. Sit & Steep is our casual, community-style Gongfu tea gathering featuring four active brewing stations, dozens of teas, and plenty of conversation.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with tea flowing until around 9:00 PM. And if everyone's still enjoying themselves... We'll keep the kettles hot a little longer.

Sample an incredible variety of teas from the New York Tea Society collection—from delicate spring green teas and fragrant oolongs to aged pu'er, rare Vietnamese Shan Tuyết teas harvested from 300-year-old tea trees, Taiwanese high-mountain oolongs, and much more. When you register, let us know if there's a tea you've always wanted to try, and we'll do our best to feature it at one of our brewing tables.
