Join the New York Tea Society for a very special guided Gongfu tea tasting featuring six extraordinary teas that are rarely available outside of China.
These teas were generously presented to the New York Tea Society by the Zhejiang Province Department of Agriculture during their visit to New York City in celebration of International Tea Day. Representing some of the finest examples of Qingyuan County's mountain tea craftsmanship, this collection offers a unique opportunity to experience a remarkable tea variety that few tea enthusiasts have encountered.
All six teas were produced from Qingyuan Huangyecha (庆元黄叶茶), an indigenous tea variety native to the pristine mountains of Qingyuan County in southwestern Zhejiang Province. Huangyecha—literally meaning "Yellow Leaf Tea"—is a naturally occurring local tea population recognized for its pale yellow-green new growth, exceptionally high amino acid content, gentle…
