Bai Hao Yin Zhen, aka Silver Needle, is the most revered of Chinese white teas, made exclusively from young, unopened tea buds hand-plucked in the early days of spring. Its production is simple yet meticulous — after harvesting, the buds are naturally withered and sun-dried, a process that preserves their delicate structure, aroma, and nutrients with minimal intervention.
Recognizable by its slender, needle-like shape and fine coating of silvery white hairs (pekoe), this tea brews into a clear, pale liquor with a light floral aroma, a smooth, mellow body, and a subtle, sweet finish.
The finest Silver Needle comes from the Fuding, Zhenghe, Songxi, and Jianyang regions of Fujian Province, where generations of expertise and optimal natural conditions produce a tea of unparalleled elegance.
