This Jin Fu Zhuan (金茯砖) is a premium dark tea from Anhua County, Hunan, crafted using traditional wet piling (渥堆, wo dui) fermentation and matured to encourage a rich bloom of “Jin Hua” (金花) — the prized Eurotium cristatum golden fungus that defines high-grade Fuzhuan tea.
The raw leaves were harvested in 2016, processed into hei cha mao cha, then naturally rested in a humidity-controlled environment to deepen complexity. In 2018, the tea was steam-softened and compressed into dense bricks, creating ideal conditions for golden flower growth.
A hallmark of fine Fuzhuan, this brick is rich with visible Jin Hua, appearing as golden specks throughout the interior. These beneficial fungi develop naturally during post-fermentation and are traditionally believed to support digestion, gut health, and metabolic balance.
