Jasmine pearl tea of this grade follows a method refined in Fuding, Fujian Province, over centuries. The spring tea is plucked from the Fuding Da Hao (福鼎大毫) cultivar, prized for its smaller leaf structure, resilience through repeated scenting cycles, and excellent capacity to absorb and hold aromatic compounds.

The leaves are processed as a delicate green tea, then hand-rolled into tight pearls and fully dried. These finished pearls are intentionally produced in early spring and allowed to rest for several months before scenting begins. In summer, the tea is transported to Hengzhou, Guangxi Province, long regarded as the jasmine capital of China. Unopened buds of Jasminum sambac are harvested in the late afternoon. As night falls, the blossoms open and release their most intense fragrance. The pearls and flowers are layered together overnight so the tea can absorb the living aroma. By morning, the spent blossoms are removed. This scenting cycle is repeated over multiple nights using fresh flowers each time. The result is a jasmine tea where the fragrance is not applied to the surface, but absorbed into the structure of the leaf itself—bright, fresh, sweetly floral, and exceptionally clean, with the rounded, supple body characteristic of Fuding Da Hao green tea.
