關於本活動

Please join NYTS members as we discuss 'Tea, Tourism, and Social Change' with Nischal Banskota.

Nishchal is the founder of Nepal Tea, a social enterprise that directly brings certified organic teas from Nepal to the American market and bridges the ever-widening gap between farmers and consumers.

During the Virtual Discussion, we will be enjoying Silver Yeti and Kumari Gold, both teas from Nishchal's tea store. Below are the descriptions and links for both teas. You are welcomed to join us in drinking the same teas together. Nishchal has generously offered us an exclusive 20% discount final bill by using the code "NYTS' upon checkout.

Kumari Gold, a full-bodied, high-quality golden tips tea (Black Tea) with caramel and brown sugar aromas. This tea has pronounced baked fruit and honey flavors with an earthy, long-lasting finish

Silver Yeti is an exceptionally clean and silky white tea made from only the finest tea buds. The absence of tea leaves creates a buttery brew, with floral aromas and subtle notes of vanilla and sweet hay.

ABOUT NISHCHAL

After graduation, Nishchal moved to his homeland, Nepal. Nishchal ventured into opening the very first Tea Bar in Nepal with a vision to educate people more on tea and his unique business model.

As a promoter of the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Nishchal stepped into the tea business tempted towards the prospect of providing education to the underprivileged farmers’ children. He believes that tea not only serves as a product to uplift farmers’ living standards but also provides the children with access to education and a step out of the vicious cycle of poverty.

When not working for Nepal Tea, Nishchal is usually immersed in the global stock markets or reading fiction – always with a cup of tea.

Nishchal graduated with a degree in BSc in Business Administration (2015)."
